I didn't think we would make it out to the fireworks this year because the weather claimed a 70% chance of rain at midnight on New Year's Eve. But then around 7:00 p.m., that changed to a 15% chance of rain. So we decided to chance it.
As it turned out, there was a pitiful attempt at drizzle right up until a couple of minutes to midnight. Then it stopped completely just before the fireworks started. And fifteen seconds after the fireworks ended, it started raining in earnest.
Oddly enough, this is not the first time this has happened to us.
